This video from oorail.com takes a quick look at the new Class K1 steam locomotive 62027 by Hornby. A total of 70 locomotives of this class were built, each with self-cleaning smoke boxes and electric lighting. Built over 10 months between May 1949 and March 1950, these locomotives remained in service until 1967. 62027 was built on August 31st 1949 and remained in service until March 31st 1967, it was eventually cut up on November 30th 1967.
