This video from oorail.com looks at the American CMX Track Cleaner. This is a brass HO scale track cleaning tanker that you fill with cleaning fluid and haul around the layout. The CMX track cleaner is one of the best track cleaning systems available. It uses felt pads which are cut from a roll and secured with clips. A valve at the top of the tank controls the flow of liquid. The CMX is very heavy and requires a decent locomotive to haul it around the layout. We use two Bachmann Class 20s. The CMX is equipped with Kadee couplers, so you will need to also purchase a set of Kadee #19 (if you use NEM) couplings to use the loco. Although you can push it to some degree around the layout with regular tension lock couplings on the loco.
