December 16th 2013 Layout Update

This video from oorail.com is the first in our new Model Railway Layout Challenge series. The series walks you through building a new model railway layout from scratch, step by step. We will be using a 10' by 2' section, but the layout design is such that it is in two sections which could be used as standalone smaller layouts - a 6' by 2' and a 4' by 2' section. This first video explains the project and what you can expect from it. If you are interested in things like the Your Model Railway Village, this is a great low cost alternative with much higher quality results, or if you have limited space, this layout will fit almost anywhere, allowing you to leave your layout up year round.
