Trying something new at oorail.com this week. Using sugar cubes, glue, card, craft sticks and some texture sheets from modelrailwayscenery.com, I'm putting together a small stone coal staithes thats slightly elevated so that it would work as a small coaling stage for Chippenham Junction. In this first part, we walk you through working with sugar cubes, assembling the main part of the coal staithes and adding the texture sheet. In part 2, I will cover painting, adding the wooden fencing and building the steps.
